What are the stages of individual treatment?
1- The first stage is evaluation. Initially, the therapist meets with the individual and examines the patient’s life history, current problems, and treatment goals. This initial assessment helps the specialist to formulate a suitable treatment plan for the individual.
2- The second stage is the invitation to cooperation. Individual therapy is based on the mutual relationship between the specialist and the individual. The active cooperation of people is very important in order to achieve treatment goals. Using a variety of techniques, the specialist guides people in examining beliefs, dysfunctional behavior patterns, and problem-solving skills.
3- The third step is continuity and follow-up . Individual therapy is usually a long process and requires continuity and follow-up. The specialist may schedule regular meetings to assess progress and determine the course of treatment.
The goal of psychotherapy is to help people slow to change their behaviors, cognitions, emotions and other personality traits in a path aimed at health.
